No, I was having a different problem with Func_trains. In this case there's a flag you can set, check the entity properties.

i tried those and they don't help. maybe i didn't explain right. i am trying to make it to where when i press the button the train goes to its destination and then goes back to where it came(moving not teleporting) and then will only move again if i press the button again.

I've never tried to do that.  There might not be a way.  Hmm, actually, there might be, but it's really convoluted.  Look into func_elevator, I think it is.  You'll need to find a good tutorial explaining how to do it.  I've never done it myself.

It was probably somewhere on Rust (gamedesign.net).

Or you could just have p1 be the first position, p2 be the destination, and p3 be the same as p1. It would warp, but you wouldn't be able to tell.

Then again, I'm not really sure what you're asking. Tongue

omg, its really simple. what i want is that you push the button, then the train moves to a certain point. then teleports back to it's spawn point and won't move again unless i press the button again. sort of like a trap that can be reset. understand. and what you suggested won't work for me. the train will keep taking the same path again and again and never stop.

What eiii said would work, but I imagine you would need a separate button to trigger it, so as you step off (decide where you want the button) that would trigger it to go back to p1 and such (at an uber fast speed). Assuming that a func_train can be assigned two of them, and of that I'm unsure.

Oh, you want a func_train that never stops moving. Trigger_always.

He wants a train that will stop every "loop around the tracks" until a button is pressed, not one that will continue nonstop.  I'm not sure if this is possible with the current entities, but I could probably add some code that will allow it.

That sounds more like a door function than anything else, but for a train that does just one circut, I've whipped something up. Kind of a hack, and would require some tweaking for each individual train, but it works.
