Uploaded.  You need to give your betas unique names (_b2, _b3, etc.), and you might want to use a shorter filename, like nightmass, or just nighttime.  More descriptive thread titles are also helpful. Smiley

I'll look at it more in depth in a bit, but it seems the glass in the center is light emitting?  It looks kind of weird.  You might want to find a way to get light on the tops of the crates in the center, too, since it will be hard to see people on them -- doesn't look like there's any light at all on them.

Last shot: Texture alignment on those crates needs to be fixed, and the textures need to be scaled for smaller crates (there's one in that shot and some other ones in the map, too).

The glowing glass doesn't look like it's glowing, though.  It just looks like it has no shadows on it, which looks weird.

all of the smaller crates are aligned (got so busy doing other crap with aligning the lights that i completely forgot about those) the glass light was amped up 100 so it will glow on the top more, the bottom looks fine how it is (gives it the look that the lighting below it is coming up)

Not a biggie, but on the steps in the middle, the planks should probably go along the length of the step.  More noticeable is the ladder and barrels in the base: barrels  are a few units too tall, and the ladder rungs aren't evenly spaced.  Also the texture on the side of the ladder isn't aligned.  Were you using a really small grid?  If so, the rest of the map must be pretty rough to align since the ladder lines up with the brushes in the base.  Also, the ladder is quite large.  Remember that 8 units is almost a foot.



Oh, one last thing -- the map is kind of dark in some areas.  You might consider throwing in some moon light.  The _sun_angle should be 83 -37.  Maybe try 10 for the _sun_light value (and 0 for _sun_diffuse and _sun_ambient).  Just a thought.  Play with it and see how it looks.

i was using a 32 grid size for most of this map, only used grid size one to merge brushes. thanks we'll see how it plays with alot of people

the mirroring messes up textures especially on my crates grr got those for the most part fixed before i released anything.

any suggestions on stuff to add? if any at all.

I don't think the sunlight (or moonlight, rather) took effect.  Did you make the sky surface light emitting?  The ladder rungs are still unevenly spaced, but I guess it's not a huge deal.  They still look big and unnattural, though.  Might look better to just have a small ladder in the center.  Oh, and after look at this ...



I think I see what might have happened to your texture alignment.

Also, when the map changed and I had the hud disabled, I thought this part of the map seemed kind of barren.  Might not hurt to throw in some more bunkers and things.

I don't think the moonlight is working, still.  Try using a different sky texture.  If you're using the dark, spotted sky texture, it may not emit enough light.  Try one of the bright ones.  Also make sure the light value emitted is high enough -- like 200 or something.  A _sun_light of 10 may be too dark, as well.  Try 20, maybe.  The tops of the boxes are still black, but the moon is visible from that angle, so they should be getting lit.

And the ladder rungs are still large and unevenly spaced. Smiley

It's also a good idea to make a small test map to see if things work before applying them to your actual map (unless, of course, you like waiting for compiles to finish).
