Hackers are already figuring out how to get the Wiimote to work with a PC.

Cool. Now I want one even more.
The thing is, any software that you use the Wii controller to interact with has to be specifically designed for it. Just using the controller for PC games and such won't be very profitable.

Not necessarily.  It could be used as a joystick or mouse pointer making it compatible with many existing PC titles.  Granted, it wouldn't work WELL for games not specifically designed with the wiimote in mind, but it would work.  I don't want a Wii, but the controller might be fun to play with, and the PC graphics are much better anyway.

It always amazes me how fast people are able to reverse engineer things and use them for things other than their intended purpose.
