It does picasso, it was only like that because the wall height was lower than you could jump.

Yeah once you're on top of the banner...  Regardless I still liked jumping on the banner.  It's not a common spot that most players would expect you to be.

I actually became aware of that spot through reproducing the map.  I wasn't sure if anybody actually used it, though.  I'll have to put some ledges up there, I guess, since the banners are embedded into the wall.

I haven't made any changes since the last screen shots, but I figured I'd share the map for people to run around in and see what they think.  Remember this isn't at the beta stage yet -- it's not ready to be put on a server for play testing or anything.

The woodwork is very nice throughout the map.  I love what you have so far with the exception of the banners.  I like the crisp color of the originals and the fact that you can get on them like a ledge.  The originals are larger as well I think.  They look alot nicer than they do being a part of the wall like that which gives them a dull look.

The ones you have look like they're supposed to give the visual effect of being sunken into the wall.  Now that would be cool too if it actually were and you could use the bottom edge as the ledge.  However, you would have to raise it a bit to make it where that edge is higher than the corner L tower with the ladder.

Also, since the walls are as high as they are we should be able to get on the fort posts and walls.

Another thing I noticed is the crates by the flags have a gap that visually is large enough for a person to get in and crouch down yet you can't.  Might make a nice camp spot or a place to use if you're under fire.

Looking good Smiley

Aww, I kind of liked the new "sealed in ice" effect the banners had.  Looks better than having a random chunk of metal sticking out from the wall with a banner attached to it in my opinion.

The space between the boxes should be big enough for a person to fit into (32 units).  I'm not sure why you can't.  I guess it makes it a little more balanced anyway, since it's not like that on both sides.

If you are rushing from purple side, X to barrels to their barrrels, you usually fall in the space of the blue barrels and the wall. Any way you can change that? Could you possibly make the  barrels 64x64?

"should be" is correct... Are you telling me that your player model fits between that space?  I tried old and new models and neither fit in it.  For "realism's" sake it should be widened a bit more so a player fits or shrunken in an effort NOT to give the visual effect that a player can actually fit in there.

Is there a way you could actually sink your banners into the wall just enough to leave a lip or an edge?

Skater: Demo?  I can make the jump consistently just fine.

Picasso: I worded that poorly.  I meant to say that it technically should be possible, since the player is 32 units wide and so is the space, but for some reason, it doesn't actually let you (or me) fit in there.  The player model doesn't matter.  That's simply visual.   The bounding box is hard coded into the game.

The banners are sunk into the wall already.  I just have "ice" sealing them in.  I could play around with that, I suppose.
