NASCAR Busch Series, RIP

Anhauser-Busch has decided not to renew their contract with NASCAR after the 2007 season. The Busch series will get a new sponsor and be renamed for the 2008 season. NASCAR is working with ESPN to find another sponsor. I just got used to saying Nextel Cup. Let the 2007 Silly Season begin already.

Get ready for the first rumored sponsor... get ready... are you ready?
Wal-Mart Series
I thought NASCAR was trying to get away from its redneck, white trash image. The other two possible sponsors are Samsung and Subway, although they say Subway is least likely since they sponsor two races and a car

It'll be the car that has everything, runs for 24 hours, but takes forever to get through the track.

They will have 43 pit stops but only 10 of them will be open at one time.

It's been announced Sunoco will no longer provide fuel for the Wal-Mart Series. The fuel will be provided by Wal-Mart itself but will only get 1 mile to the gallon. NASCAR says this will be cheaper in the long run because Wal-Mart pays the Chinese oil drillers one cent per day
