My real life friend John (AKA Supermercado or 1SkinneeJ) has set up this subforum for us to use while we try to get the dpball.com situation resolved. Please show some respect on his forums. Hopefully we'll have our regular Digital Paint forums back up after the holidays.

As stated by the news, ServerPronto shut the server down for some kind of violation. What, exactly, we don't know. They sent an email to Delirious' account that was hosted on the server that they shut down and refuse to give any other information. Nice catch 22. I assume it has something to do with the forums emailing people like crazy after sendmail got activated for whatever reason. I don't know why or how sendmail got activated, though. Perhaps some exploit was used to make it send spam, too. Delirious had disabled sendmail completely because he had issues on previous hosts as well.

Jitspoe doesn't quakeworld provide free forums for q2 mods?
They did for WOD! At least that what was relayed to me during clan meatings with HHR/WOD. All though they were described as 'crappy' thus we elected to use them as a temp fall back.
Gee I wonder who took the time to activate the send mail feature......

Jitspoe: How can i view dp's website, my brother blocked it and wont unblock it, i need some way to view the site either a remotely hosted proxy or some other way.

What did your brother block it with? And I'm sure there are plenty of proxies available. I don't use any, so I don't know of any offhand, but I'm sure google could help you out.
loial: I have a server that can be used. That's not an issue. Getting all old the forum data is. I have some of the data, but I'm not sure when the last backup was from.
