awesome! these games are amazing, but this is a little insane... i'll stick with my plastic guitar, and let my 3 real guitars stay real.

You know... I wouldn't mind playing Guitar Hero sometime. I saw some students at Owens playing it on one of the gigantic TVs they have in the activity center

I'll beat Nathan to the punch and chime in for Frets on Fire. It's a Guitar Hero clone for the PC. I suck horribly at it but it's pretty good fun.

Haha, awesome.  Not what I was expecting at all when I read the thread title.  This could be useful if I could find a cheap guitar to disassemble (cheap as in less than the $60 or whatever it costs for the guitar hero controller).  Then I could just build the whole thing from scratch and play frets on fire with a full sized guitar controller on a 100 inch screen.  Hawt.

The next video game damage thread will be how Nathan tore a hole in his projector with his modified guitar while rocking out in Frets on Fire. Calling it now.

I played guitar hero for the first time yesterday (at Best Buy).  The controller was a bit easier to use than a keyboard, but the graphics were a bit more difficult to see.

Maybe that's why people play Frets on Fire using a Guitar Hero controller. Best of both worlds kind of thing.
