The 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup winner, Jimmie Johnson, broke his wrist while participating in a celebrity golf tournament. Evidently, he wasn't holding on tightly enough in the golf cart and he fell and landed wrong. It's been reported that the fall started when Jimmie was on the roof of the golf cart.
Jimmie won't be able to drive for four weeks. The break is on his non shifting hand.
Second year in a row for the champion to injure himself in the off season. Last year, Tony Stewert rolled his midget car.

Yeah, we figure if it's not already in their contracts not to do stupid stuff in the offseason, it'll soon be in there. I can see NASCAR telling Junior that he can't drive go-carts. I think he would tell them to go to hell. (For those of you who don't know, Junior has a go-cart track at his house so he and his friends can race at anytime).

Would it be NASCAR that would tell him that or his sponsor/team? If NFL players can't have motorcycles or whatever, isn't that all managed by their team rather than the league?

NASCAR has no say over what the drivers do. They are just a sanctioning body. It's up to the teams and sponsors to tell them what to do

I just said NASCAR as the whole body. I know Budweiser has it in Junior's contract that he could only drive in four Busch races last year. This year, he convinced them to raise it to seven.
