Bob Barker Retiring

Yep, the 83 year old Bob Barker is stepping down. He's been in TV for 50 years (he started with Truth or Consequences) and has hosted The Price is Right for the past 35 years. This not happening until June but it was announced today.
Yes, The Price is Right is a silly game show and the contestants are over the top but it's a comfort and has been. It's something I can put on every day at 11:00 when I'm between jobs and get ready for the day.
And let's not forget Bob Barker's constant efforts to "control the pet population, get your pets spayed or neutered". That's almost as well known as "come on down".
A replacement has been looked at for the past two or three years. And a tribute has been planned to him for months.
The morning TV won't be the same without him.

Yeah, The Price is Right may continue but without Bob Barker, I wonder how well it will do in that 11am spot. Probably well enough that it likely won't matter.

I wouldn't know, since I rarely see either.
