The injury bug has hit the Clemson football team hard this season. What the heck is going on?

First, one of the hardest hitters and one of the better linebackers in the ACC, Tramaine Billie, breaks an ankle on like the last day of fall practice and may be out the whole season. In the first game, the heart and soul and our defensive and team leader, and one of the best linebackers in the country, Anthony Waters, tears his ACL and is done. The next game, we lose another defensive starter and probably our best defensive back, Michael Hamlin, to a broken foot. Couple games later, possibly our best short-yardage back sprains his ankle and is going to miss a couple games. That's four already. Yesterday, Chansi Stuckey, arguably the best receiver in the ACC, breaks his foot in the same place Hamlin did and is out for 3 or 4 games. I just saw an article on The State - Columbia's newspaper - website saying that our third-string quarterback has broken his foot, too!

What in the hell is going on?

Why do they have to play with our emotions like this? Apparently the story in The State was an error and our QB is not hurt. Another receiver, luckily one who we're already redshirting, however, did suffer a foot injury. So there is something fishy going on... This is where the team gets tested, though, with several key players out. The guys have responded well to this point so here's to hoping that continues.
