Repeated head trauma can cause brain damage

I gotta say, I'm pretty good about most of that.

- Wedding: not married and I would never spend a giant crapload of money on a super-elaborate wedding.
- I drink coffee that I brew at home instead of going to Starbucks - I've never even set foot in one.
- I bought a 4 year-old car with all the options on it and got a lot more car than I would if I'd spent $11,500 on a new car - what's that, the cheapest Kia?
- Sports memorbilia: I can take that to mean many collectibles, so I was once guilty of that, buying Star Wars CCG cards like they were going out of print. Not anymore, though.
- Cigarettes: don't smoke and I never will.
- Impulse internet buys: I'm not much for impulse buys, period. If I buy something, I shop around for the best price and mull the purchase over in my head for a while.
- Gambling: I've never been in a casino and if I did, I'd go in with no credit card, no ATM card, and maybe $25 or $50 to blow on the cheapest games there are. To be honest, I'd rather just play for free with friends or family, anyway.
- Fuel-inefficient vehicles: my car isn't super awesome on gas but it gets about 22 in the city and 30, give or take, on the highway.
Fast food: I can count the number of times I eat fast food in a year on one hand.
- Christmas shopping: I don't go crazy here, just randomly buying crap on the internet.

So... how do you all fare?

Wedding: We wanted a small wedding, the mothers wanted a large wedding. Their fault Smiley

Coffee: Hate coffee but I do heavily fuel Coca-Cola's revenues

Option packages: I have never bought a new car

Sports memorabilia: I don't spend as much on that stuff as my dad. In fact, the only things sports-related I get are various NASCAR things and McFarlane figures

Cigarettes: Nope. I wish to live

Impulse Internet Buys: Not on impulse. When I buy something online, I usually look for the best price and it's for something I absolutely want

Gambling: I don't gamble because I always lose

Fuel-inefficient vehicles: I drive a Honda Civic. Enough said there

Fast food: Guilty, especially because of work, school, and baby. It's just easier

Christmas shopping: We try not to go overboard. Vengeance is the one real big on Christmas

First of all, elmono and vengeance's wedding wasn't that big of a deal.  And we would have gladly had you elope.

Our wedding, including us, was 21 people.  We had it on a Sunday so we could use the flowers already in the church.  Reception was held at my in-laws' house.

Coffee - never drank coffee and I've been off caffeine for about 10 years.

Option packages - we did buy two new cars and the first one, a Labaron, was so cheap with the bells and whistles with no interest.  The second one, we did get a bunch of stuff but left off what we didn't need.

Sports memorabilia - Rich gets a bunch of this stuff but it's his hobby.  What he can't use, he sells on ebay or takes to a show.  He actually quits for a while if we can't afford it.

Cigarettes - please - never have, never will.  My sister and I pressured our parents to quit right after the warning label was put onto the packs.  We told them we would no longer "fetch" them their cigarettes.

Impulse internet buys - about the only thing I "buy" are hotel rooms.  And then I find the best deal.  Days Inn in Kissimmee for $31.50 next weekend.  Pretty damn good.

Gambling - I used to love Las Vegas.  Not anymore.  Atlantic City ripped us off.  Left after 20 minutes.  We do buy Mega Millions when the jackpot gets higher.

All our cars are fuel efficient.  If I had an SUV, I wouldn't be driving it except for short distances.

Fast Food - we do fast food on trips but it's usually McDs and their 99 cent double cheeseburger (best deal and for $2 you get lots of food) or a Whopper, Jr. for 99 cents.

Christmas shopping - I usually will make up baskets with items from the dollar store.  Things people can use like photo frames, food items, etc.  This year people are going to get a complete spaghetti dinner.  My father-in-law is getting Product 19 since he can't get it where he lives.

Weddings: I'm single. $0.

Coffee: Don't drink it. $0.

Option packages: Car was a hand-me-down. $0.

Sports memorbilia: I don't even like (watching) sports. $0.

Cigarettes: $0.

Gambling: Haven't even purchased a lottery ticket (but I do keep getting emails saying I've won...). $0.

Fuel-inefficient vehicles: I live less than a mile from work, and not much further from Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.  ~$50/month (mostly for trips home).

Fast Food: Isn't that cheaper regular restaurants?  ~$25/year.

Impulse internet buys: I'm guilty of this (curse you woot.com).  ~$50/year.

Christmas shopping: Whatever it is, it's last minute.  ~$150/year.
