What I'm wondering is why Marlie needs to bring a pencil sharpener when the classrooms should have them already. Or is stupid Maumee spending too much money on stupid things like unnecessary fancy crosswalk patterns or making a red brick road a black brick road? Seriously, this is what Maumee is spending its money on. My city taxes last year were almost double the state taxes... and I don't get a refund from the city while I do with the state...

Because they don't want the kids getting up during class time and using one pencil sharpener. They want each child to have their own at the desk. Less disruption.
Don't even go into taxes. We pay school taxes here and don't even have a child in the school system. Could be worse. You could be sending Marlie to a private school AND paying city taxes on top of that. Never did understand the allure of private schooling. Hey, I know! Home school her!

Already been taken care of. That person doesn't speak to me anymore. I think I made my feelings clearly known. There are no steps in our family. I think that will make an extremely good first novel title choice. |
