Well, me, Vengeance, and Demon Child are back from Disney World... don't fly Delta.

1) Our flight from Toledo to Cincinnati was canceled because of the whole ComAir fiasco that I'm sure all of you have heard of by now. Had to have Vengeance's mother drive us down to Cincinnati (4 hour drive)

2) We sit in the plane at Cincinnati for 2 hours because they desperately needed water on the plane for a 56 minute flight. Water needed to wash hands and serve coffee... So, they say the water valve is frozen shut and they start bringing bottled water on board. Oh, wait, they can unstick the valve. They do so, and pump water into the plane. Oh, wait, they broke the valve! So they pump the water out of the plane so it stops leaking and decide to fix the valve. They fix it and pump water into the plane. I'm pretty sure people can hold it in for a 56 minute flight, but we were stuck in the plane on the ground for 2 friggin hours

3) Delta loses one of our bags. So we had to spend $60 we didn't have to get clothes. Fortunately, the bag is sent to our room at Disney the next day.

4) The return trip today was fine... but THEY LOST OUR LUGGAGE AGAIN!!! Both bags this time. And this wasn't lost because of some sort of holiday rush. No, someone in Cincinnati royally screwed up since there were about 3 or 4 other families on our same flight who didn't have their luggage either.

And that is our story of our wonderful flight to and from Orlando.

Stupid Delta

Sucky... When I flew to Toledo, I was on some airline that I'd never heard of before. I don't even remember what it was anymore. I was actually pretty pleased with the service, etc. Outside of not having any room to sit on the plane because they put the damn seats so close together, but I guess it's that way on any airline when you're not in first class.

You flew ATA, which just announced that they're going bankrupt so they cancelled my mom's flight next week. She got another flight out with another airline, but flying can be more of a hassle if luck isn't with you.

Oh, yeah, ATA, that's it. How is it that you remember that and I don't? I'm the one who flew on four of their planes...

she was the one with the fear of flying, remember, shes gonna remember peoples trips in the deathtraps, which may or may not be cancelled, haha.  I went to san antonio on Continental, though the flight back was contracted out to Northwest, so i had the problem of having to walk to another terminal just to get my ticket.  you wouldnt think san anton to be a happening place at 5 in the  morning, but apparently everybody was flying out, and nobody wanted to work, so it took us over an hour to get through security, though on a side note, i made it through the metal detectors for the first time ever without having to be taken aside to be scanned with the wand.  its a good thing my familys paranoid and we always get to the airport three hours before a flight.... though thats another story.

I'm paranoid about lateness, too. There's nothing wrong with that. I had to get up at the damn buttcrack of dawn when I left Charlotte to fly to Toledo. My flight left at like 6am. I got up at like 3:45 or some foolishness and was on the first shuttle van from the hotel to the airport. Damn, that was early. I was tired. That whole trip was freaking exhausting. I almost fell asleep several times on the drive back to Clemson from Charlotte. We didn't land until just about midnight and it's a 2-hour drive from Charlotte to Clemson. I had my window wide ass open in the cold air and the music blaring and even that wasn't working.

Heck, because of the fubar situation when we left, I had been awake for 24-36 hours. I slept very well that night.

I might as well have been awake for just about as long in February. We got up at like 10 or so on the 6th and that night was very late and the next morning very early. 4 hours of sleep on a couch doesn't really count. And then not getting to bed until 3am on the 7th. I was dead when I got back.

There's more room in the house so you wouldn't be as cramped now... you'd just have to put up with six cats...
